  • ResearchPikorua Security 2026 Benchmark: roofing and structural steel subcontractors lead COI defect ratesRoofing certificates failed contract requirements on first review 84% of the time and structural steel 78%, according to Pikorua Security's 2026 Subcontractor COI Compliance & Risk Transfer Benchmark.

BENGALURU, India. Pikorua Security today released its 2026 Subcontractor COI Compliance & Risk Transfer Benchmark, covering defect rates by trade and deficiency category for subcontractor and vendor Certificates of Insurance reviewed on the platform. Roofing (84%) and structural steel (78%) posted the highest first-review defect rates; electrical was lowest of the eight trades measured at 62%.

The most common deficiency was a missing CG 20 37 completed operations endorsement, present in 64% of deficient files, followed by named insured mismatches between the certificate and the subcontract (48%). The report includes the methodology, trade-by-trade tables and model contract wording for each deficiency category.

The full report is available free at pikoruasecurity.com/resources/benchmarks, with charts licensed for reuse with attribution.

“Completed operations is where contractors get hurt, because the claim shows up after everyone has moved on. The data says most files still are not checked for it.”

Kavya Reddy, ARM, CRIS, Head of Risk Engineering

  • SecurityPikorua Security completes SOC 2 Type II examinationAn independent CPA firm examined Pikorua Security's controls for security, availability and confidentiality over a six-month observation period and issued an unqualified Type II report.

BENGALURU, India. Pikorua Security today announced it has received its SOC 2 Type II report, covering the Security, Availability and Confidentiality trust services criteria over an observation period from September 2025 through February 2026. The examination follows the company's SOC 2 Type I report issued in August 2025.

Pikorua Security encrypts customer documents with AES-256 at rest and TLS 1.3 in transit, hosts US customer data on AWS in us-east-1 with us-west-2 failover, and does not train AI models on customer COIs or contracts. Customers and prospects can request the report under NDA through the Pikorua Security Trust Center.

“Our customers send us the documents that decide who pays for a claim. A Type II report is how we show the controls around those documents work every day, not just on audit day.”

BENGALURU, India. Pikorua Security today published the ISO Endorsement Library, a free reference for risk managers, project teams and contract drafters. Each of the 20 guides covers what the form does, how its editions changed, the defect traps Pikorua Security's risk engineers see most often, and sample contract exhibit wording.

The library is written and maintained by Pikorua Security's Risk Engineering team, the same group that maintains the edition rules behind the product's endorsement validator. It is free to read without registration.

“Contract exhibits ask for forms by number, and certificates claim them by checkbox. We wanted one place that explains what each form actually does, edition by edition.”

  • ProductPikorua Security adds Yardi Voyager and AppFolio connectors, extending automatic payment holds to property managersProperty managers and REITs can now hold vendor payments automatically when insurance falls out of compliance, inside the systems their accountants already use. The connectors join Pikorua Security's Procore connector for general contractors.

BENGALURU, India. Pikorua Security today announced general availability of its Yardi Voyager and AppFolio connectors, joining the Procore connector released in November 2025. When Pikorua Security finds a deficiency, such as a missing waiver of subrogation or an expired policy, the vendor's compliance status updates in the connected system and payment is held until a corrected document is verified.

Every hold and release is recorded with the document, page and rule that triggered it, giving accounting and risk teams one audit trail across construction and property portfolios.

“Property accountants should not have to cross-check a spreadsheet before paying a vendor invoice. The hold should already be there.”

  • CompanyPikorua Security launches endorsement-level Certificate of Insurance verification for US general contractorsPikorua Security reads ACORD 25 and ACORD 28 certificates and the endorsement pages behind them, checks form numbers and edition dates against subcontract requirements, and chases the vendor's broker for corrections.

BENGALURU, India. Pikorua Security today launched its Certificate of Insurance compliance platform for US general contractors and commercial property managers. Unlike tools that read only the certificate's front page, Pikorua Security extracts and verifies the attached ISO endorsements, including additional insured, primary and non-contributory, and waiver of subrogation forms, by form number and edition date.

When a document falls short, Pikorua Security sends a deficiency notice to both the vendor and its retail insurance broker that names the missing form and includes a zero-login upload link. Renewals are chased automatically at 60, 30, 15 and 0 days before expiration.

Pikorua Security is available with a 14-day free production trial. Starter plans begin at $299 per month billed annually.

“A certificate of insurance confers no rights on its own. The protection is in the endorsements, so that is what we built Pikorua Security to read.”
